Growing Group: Seed Sowing

  • Meadows (location provided when requested) (map)

Meadows Growing Group is for Meadows residents who are interested in growing vegetables, fruit and flowers as part of a group. No experience is required, the group aims to share knowledge and grow together! So far we have learnt to transform an overgrown allotment plot into a growable space with a food forest. The food we grow is shared out for personal use or cooked and eaten together. This is an on-going group of volunteers that meets regularly but no commitment is required.

This is a group for people who:

  • are new to growing and want advice

  • are already growing who want to socialise

  • want an allotment but don't have time to maintain one on their own

  • who want to sow seeds for their own outdoor space

  • who want to spend more time outdoors

Sessions are held at an allotment site in NG2 (directions given on sign up) or at Green Meadows' Climate Hub. Please note unfortunately the allotment would not be accessible to wheelchair users due to uneven ground and there are currently no facilities on site.

Please bring your own gloves, tools and seeds will be provided.

Please note, this event is for residents of the Meadows only.

Is the event full? Sign up to our waiting list on the event page or give us a call to be notified if any tickets become available!
