Community Fridge
at the Bridgeway Hall Methodist Church
As a community, we don’t want to throw away food we won’t use or have in surplus, especially when others are in need. We want to share what we have and help conserve our planet’s resources.
Whether you have an apple tree in your garden and can't eat another apple pie, or you never finish that whole bushel of celery you bought at the supermarket, fresh produce that would otherwise go to waste will find a home here - at your very own community fridge in The Meadows.
Are you interested in having a community fridge in the Meadows?
Fill in the interest form here to let us know how you’d like to get involved
Come along to the meeting every Wednesday at 5:30-6:30pm at the Bridgeway Hall Methodist Church in the Bridgeway Centre, NG2 2JD and let’s get started.
What’s a Community Fridge?
A community fridge is a shared space where people can donate or take food to prevent waste and help those in need. It's open to everyone, with food coming from supermarkets, local businesses, homes, and gardens. These fridges are run by local groups in places like schools, community centers, and shops.
The Community Fridge Network connects these groups across the UK, offering support, resources, and guidance to help set up and run fridges effectively.
