Introduction to Autumn Foraging Workshop

Try your hand at safely and sustainably foraging the wild food growing in the Meadows!

Join us October 28th for our introductory foraging workshops led by Lucy Buckle, The Nottingham Forager.

Workshop 1 - Introduction to Foraging (Classroom Session):

Based in the NEP Hub. This session will give you the knowledge & confidence to start foraging safely & sustainably. Join us to learn about a variety of different species and how to identify them... and bring a mug along if you fancy trying a foragers brew!

When? October 28th 2023, 10:30-12pm

Where? 32 Turney Street, The Meadows, NG2 2LE

This event is FREE, suitable for all ages and abilities, and exclusively for Meadows residents.

Workshop 2 - Introduction to Foraging (Outdoor Session):

Meet us at the Hub for a quick introduction to foraging, before we head out for a walk through the Meadows. Join us on the hunt for wild produce, as we look at a variety of local species & how to safely and sustainably harvest them. Make sure you bring a basket or tub for your foraged finds!

The walk itself will be around 1.5 hours at a steady pace with some uneven terrain. It is suitable for all ages, small children may need to be carried at points. Those with mobility issues please get in touch to discuss prior to booking.
