Eat & Learn: Make a Slow Cooker

  • Climate Hub 32 Turney Street Nottingham, England, NG2 2LG United Kingdom (map)

Join our free, monthly workshops at the Climate Hub! Our workshops are designed to help you gain new skills, learn about climate and community action and chat to others over a free hot meal. Each workshop will have a practical element where you can learn a new skill. We will then tuck into a free hot meal while listening to a talk or discussion led by a relevant expert. And that's not all! Some exciting freebies at each event will help you put your new skills to practice.

This month at the Climate Hub we’re partnering with Tiger Community Enterprise CIC and Dr. Mike Clifford from the University of Nottingham to demonstrate how to turn a box into an energy-saving slow cooker.

First, we’ll learn how to prepare food and cook with a homemade slow cooker. While lunch is cooking, you will have the chance to make your own slow cooker to take home. Afterward, we’ll sit down to enjoy some hot food and discuss alternative forms of cooking and saving energy.

You’ll also receive a recipe book to take home with your slow cooker. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people, and enjoy delicious food!
