Resilience
Green Meadows aims to make the Meadows more resilient to the effects of climate change through sharing knowledge, building skills, and growing together.
What do we mean by climate resilience?
Climate resilience is the community’s ability to anticipate, prepare for, and adapt to the impacts of climate change. As extreme weather events such as floods and droughts become more common, building resilience is more important than ever.
Through resilience workshops, community initiatives, and skill-sharing, we empower community members to take proactive steps, learn practical strategies, and think of ways that we can adapt. By working together to address climate challenges, we are creating a more sustainable and resilient future for everyone in the Meadows.
How are we building resilience?
Workshops
We run free workshops, ranging from dedicated resilience sessions to DIY skills. The aim is to equip residents with skills that can help them live more sustainably and independently.
Resilience workshops cover a range of topics such as: low energy cooking, keeping houses cool and make do & mend.
